Believing In The Dreams of Our Children
Believing In The Dreams of Our Children
Children's Foundation of the Imperial Valley is pleased to announce our latest initiative. One that will open doors and create possibilities that perhaps did not seem possible before.
Sometimes, it can be challenging for us to know where to go or who to ask about a career that we hold an interest in. Or, perhaps we have been told that a particular career choice is not financially feasible, or there is seemingly no one who can guide us and give us real life experience so that we have more assurance that we are making the right choices.
Well, we are so excited to announce our latest initiative: Imperial Valley Mentoring for Success. With this novel program, we will partner you, the PROTEGE, with a person who is a devoted professional in the field that you are interested in learning more about.
So, what do you want to be? What interests you? Do you dream of being a Nurse Practitioner, a Graphic Designer, a Computer Analyst, or how about caring for animals or owning your own business one day? Here and now, you can know exactly what it is like to be a healthcare professional or an accountant. With Imperial Valley Mentoring for Success, you now have an opportunity to test drive that which you dream of becoming.
We are all aware that the world is changing at a dizzy pace now. It is difficult for any one of us to know exactly what career opportunities hold promise for the future. We are poised to guide you in not only the direction you want to go, but we can provide sound advice as to what the future holds. We are here to help you!
It might be worth noting parents, that children who are part of a quality mentoring program often excel in their academic programs and studies. Mentoring programs provide hope and goals that go a long way to a brighter day today and in the future...

On a beautiful sunny day at Sunbeam Lake Park, our community came together for the benefit of our Autistic children. With so many activities, performances and great food, it was the place to be on April 6th.
Proceeds from this event will be used to provide important Applied Behavioral Ananysis (ABA) tools to the Autistic children who reside in our Imperial Valley. Working alongside Motiva, Sunny Days anThe Autism Center, we identify families in need of these items, so important for motor, speech and behavioral development.
Thank you to the local businesses and support groups for making the event as special as it was. It is the coming together of those that care for our children that can and will make a true difference....
Children's Foundation of the Imperial Valley wishes to thank all of you who supported and participated in our recent 5K Fun Run/Walk for Autism. Proceeds from this event go directly to the Autistic children of our Imperial Valley.
Working with wonderful groups such as PBS, we are so pleased to provide tools and supplies to the families of Autistic children for important in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy. Because of you, these children have the amazing opportunity to optimally develop their cognitive and motor skills.
Way to go, Imperial Valley!
